The Key To Happiness
What is your goal in life?
Most of us would say Happiness. No matter where you are in your life right now, being happy is the ultimate goal right?
But when you think about it, happiness is a subjective feeling.
“I will be happy once I graduate as a dentist”
“I will be happy once I earn my first 3 digits earning on Medium”
“I will be happy when I get that new car”
“I will be happy when I get my dream job”
“A vacation to Hawaii would make me happy”
Everyone has a different definition of happiness. And it keeps changing over time.
When I was a little girl, I thought I would be happy when I get a cell phone.
4 years ago, I thought I would be the happiest when I get into Dental School.
And I was happy until I wasn't. Instead, I thought of something else that would make me happy.
Happiness is Subjective.
But what I have learned over the years is that if there is one ‘Key’ to happiness, that is being… Grateful.
It all depends on how we look at life. We could either pinpoint everything that is wrong in our lives and trust me if I started right now, it would be a long list.
OR, we could simply count our blessings.
So what if you didn't get what you had wanted?
So what if one thing went wrong? Look at all the 9 others that went right.
The only true key to happiness is being Grateful to God for everything He has given us.
And once we do that, the blessings only multiply.
