And what does it represent?

Pink color has always been used to represent femininity.

It's expected of girls to have their favorite color be pink.

In gender reveals, if the balloon pops out pink ribbons, or if the inside of the cake is pink, it is automatically, without a doubt, assumed that the child is going to be a girl.

Breast cancer awareness ribbons are pink as it is a disease of the female population.

If there’s pink, there’s a girl involved.

But why pink?

It is formed by mixing Red and White together.

Red:

“Red, the color of blood and fire, is associated with meanings of love, passion, desire, heat, longing, lust, sexuality, sensitivity, romance, joy, strength, leadership, courage, vigor, willpower, rage, anger, danger, malice, wrath, stress, action, vibrance, radiance, and determination.”

Hence Red symbolizes Love, Sensitivity, Determination, and Vibrance.

White:

“White, an inherently positive color, is associated with purity, virginity, innocence, light, goodness, heaven, safety, brilliance, illumination, understanding, cleanliness, faith, beginnings, sterility, spirituality, possibility, humility, sincerity, protection, softness, and perfection”
