My Medium Journey So Far

And maybe you find yours in it too.

So when I joined Medium, I had just come from HubPages. I was done with Freelancing jobs that paid almost nothing, plus I did not even have an interest in what I was doing most of the times. On the other hand, I loved writing. Hence wouldn’t it be perfect that you earn money doing something you love? Because then it’s not really a task anymore. It doesn’t seem like work.

I published and published and published in my first week on Medium. I imported my articles from Hubpages, at the same time read hundreds and hundreds of stories about people and how they got their success on Medium. However unlike those people I was getting absolutely no views on my stories. Claps were a far-fetched fantasy. I got annoyed, thinking this isn’t going to work for me.

So I started writing about everything I was feeling and sent it to The Writing Cooperative who had just recently added me as a writer, with absolutely no hopes of being accepted. When my story got published, not only did I start getting views and claps but also comments and follows.
