How long does it take for you to find a Display for your Story?

Sitting here, currently looking for a picture for my next story, I am confused how did it become this way? I took me about half an hour to write the story, but I'm sitting here for almost the past 30 minutes trying to find a picture worthy enough for my content.

The picture should be relevant to the content, the picture should be bright enough to attract, the picture should be colorful, it should be clear and most importantly, it should be high quality.

Somehow the quality of the picture you chose represents the quality of your content.

So the question arises just how important is a picture, to help your story get the attention you need it to?

As per my previous experience, every story that I have used a slightly dull or monochromic picture did not get the views that I had expected.

Sure, the actual content is what helps you get the reads and claps, but how would you do that if people don't even open your story-hence the views.

So, as per my unpopular opinion, I think the picture that you chose for your story is just as important as the content of the story itself.
